A Day in Downtown Camas, The La Perle Way

A Day in Downtown Camas, The La Perle Way

There’s something about downtown Camas that feels slow in the best way. Brick sidewalks, little storefront windows, fresh air that smells like coffee in the morning and pastries by noon. It’s charming, polished, and just tucked away enough to feel like your own secret.

If you asked a La Perle girl how she’d spend the perfect day here, it might look something like this.

Morning: Coffee, Light, and a Slow Start

The day begins with a quiet walk down 4th Avenue. Sunlight hits the storefront windows just right, and the town feels calm before the afternoon buzz.

First stop? A warm latte from Caffe Piccolo. Something creamy, something comforting. You take it to go and wander the sidewalks, letting the morning unfold gently instead of rushing it.

Downtown Camas is small enough to feel cozy but full enough to explore. That’s the magic.

Late Morning: A Little Wandering

Pop into Allure Boutique to browse soft knits, delicate jewelry, and pieces that feel timeless but fresh. The kind of items you wear on repeat.

Then slip into Ballard & Corum Books. Run your fingers along the shelves. Pick up a novel you don’t need but suddenly can’t leave without.

If you’re feeling extra peaceful, wander through the Camas Public Library. It’s quiet, sunlit, and feels like stepping into a slower era.

Midday: Matcha & A Moment

By now, it’s time for something green and grounding.

Soon, you’ll be able to step into La Perle Tea Room — a soft, elegant escape in the heart of downtown. Think delicate china, ceremonial matcha, warm scones, and a space designed for lingering.

La Perle is coming to Camas in late June/July, and she’s bringing a new ritual to town: slow afternoons, meaningful conversations, and the prettiest cup you’ve ever held.

Whether it’s a baby shower, a birthday, or simply a Tuesday that deserves something special, La Perle will be your place.

Afternoon: Sunshine & Sweet Stops

After matcha, take your time walking through town. Window shop. Snap photos. Notice the details — hanging flower baskets, handwritten chalkboard menus, gold lettering on glass doors.

Downtown Camas has that effortless Pacific Northwest charm. It’s polished without being pretentious. Relaxed but intentional.

And that’s exactly the energy La Perle is inspired by.

Evening: Golden Hour Glow

As the sun starts to set, the brick buildings turn warm and golden. The streets feel romantic. It’s the kind of place where you walk a little slower just to enjoy it.

That’s what La Perle is about not rushing. Not scrolling. Not multitasking.

Just being present.

Coming Soon to Downtown Camas

La Perle Tea Room is not yet open, but we are thoughtfully preparing our space and can’t wait to welcome you in late June/July.

Downtown Camas already feels like home — and soon, you’ll have a new favorite place to gather, sip, and celebrate right in the heart of it.

Until then, take a walk. Grab a coffee. Explore the little shops.

And imagine your next stop will be La Perle. 💗
